Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic is filled with historical sights and stories. The conference will be held directly in the buildings of the hosting institution - Charles University, Faculty of Science. Founded in 1348, Charles University is amongst the oldest universities in the world and is also the largest and most renowned Czech university. The Faculty of Science that was established in 1920 is divided into 29 departments, 3 museums and a Botanical Garden (adjacent to the conference venue). As a conference room was selected the historical large auditorium of the Chemistry Section at Albertov – Prague district where the Velvet student revolution of 1989 began. Situated in the city centre, the conference venue is easily accessible and may also serve as an ideal starting point for exploring Prague.
